Mahela Jayawardena joins Future Minds as its Brand Ambassador

Future Minds scored a gem in 2012 with Mahela Jayawardena, the Sri Lankan Cricket Captain of high distinction, joining the expo as its brand ambassador. Mahela was very vocal in the support for Future Minds and its agenda of empowering young generation. With Mahela as the Future Minds Brand Ambassador, a dazzling publicity package was deployed for 2012, resulting in a brand new elite and vibrant image to the event.

Yet another destination : Galle marks the trinity for Future Minds

2012 saw Future Minds add yet another destination to its impressive portfolio of venues. Galle, the hub of southern Sri Lanka thus became the third venue for Future Minds. Galle is the newest addition to the destinations of Future Minds following Colombo and Kandy. Among the factors that prompted an exposition of Future Minds in Galle, was the high performance of students of the south in Galle and neighbouring cities in the ordinary and advanced level examinations.

Inter School Rugby Competition, Future Minds Beach Rugby Fiesta

Future Minds conducted a novel competition under its brand among boys schools for the first ever time, named "Future Minds Beach Rugby Fiesta". The tournament kicked off on the white sands of the Mount Lavinia Beach on Sunday the 13th of May 2012. Sixteen schools took part in the competition and the games were keenly contested. The gathered crowd enjoyed the carnival settings at the venue and were treated to a fine exhibition of Beach Rugby. An exhibition of Net Ball games were played by a selection of girls schools during the breaks that kept the crowd thrilled and excited. Going in to the night several other entertaining items were put on show including a fitness show and those present for event thoroughly enjoyed themselves throughout the day. The event as a whole was concluded successfully and is expected to become a highly popular event drawing large crowds in coming years.
